SM Entertainment says TaeYeon is okay after the stage accident at the 24th Seoul Music Awards

SNSD TaeYeon 24th Seoul Music Awards Stage Accident
The 24th Seoul Music Awards was held yesterday, January 22nd.

Everything was going fine but not after TaeTiSeo finished their performance.  In this next video, we can see that as the girls were on their way off the stage, SeoHyun almost tripped but luckily got her balance back, then unfortunately TaeYeon fell down into a lift that accidentally went down; it was the lift that lowers and raises artists on the stage.  She fell off the stage approximately 2 meters high according to witnesses.

TaeYeon was treated with painkillers and returned home.  It was an alarming incident but to assure fans that TaeYeon is okay, SMEntertainment released a statement saying, "The accident happened as she was leaving the stage after a performance. She was immediately transferred to the hospital.  Fortunately, there weren't any big injuries, and she received the diagnosis that her muscles were just in shock, so she returned home after treatment.  We'll be continuously checking up on Taeyeon's condition and making sure she doesn't overwork herself.".

Later on, the Seoul Music Awards apologized to TaeYeon through a letter which stated:
On January 22 at the 24th Seoul Music Awards, held at the Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium, Taeyeon, member of SNSD′s unit group Taetiseo, was hit with an unexpected accident while leaving the stage. Regarding this, we deeply apologize to Taeyeon, her members, her agency, and fans.
The accident occured after Taeyeon and her members performed Holler upon receiving a bonsang. As they were exiting the stage, the lift, installed on the stage floor, suddenly fell. The signals of the production stage team didn′t match, and the lift dropped about one meter from the 1.8-meter high stage, causing Taeyeon to stumble and fall into  the space. Seeing this, Taetiseo members, Tiffany and Seohyun, as well as the backdancers, pulled Taeyeon back up onto the stage. The stage production team explained, ′The event was getting delayed, so in the process of hurrying things up, a mistake happened"

It was a very unfortunate incident but thankfully she was not seriously injured.  Rest well TaeYeon, we'll pray for your quick recovery.
