'Jinxed at First' Episode 8 Recap

Let's continue from Episode 7 where Seulbi got locked-up inside Mr. Wang's office.

The next day, Mr. Wang and Daeshik found Seulbi sleeping at their couch. She told them that she's there to borrow money so she can rent a house.

Sensing that they might have been a problem betweem Seulbi and Sookwang, Mr. Wang told Seulbi that he would go out to get some money so she should just stay there and wait for him, but he went to call Sookwang instead.

He left her with Daeshik, who then asked for a reading regarding his love life. He also gave Seulbi advice on how she can earn some money.

That advice was to use her ability and become a fortune teller. Seulbi really did it and in just a few moments, her customers came one after the other.

While at it, Seulbi managed to save the market vendors from another accident. Sookwang eventually heard about what Seulbi was doing and he immediately went to the Fortune Teller's shop.

Sookwang dragged her out and the two had a serious conversation. Sookwang reminded her that what she's doing was also the reason why she left Keumhwa Hotel. He also blurted out his thoughts that if she had warned him before, he could have prevented his Mother's accident.

In the end, Seulbi told Sookwang that she only wanted to be ordinary that's why she left her Mom and went to him. But now, she thinks she was wrong and selfish that's why she has decided to go back to Keumhwa Hotel.

Seulbi walked away and Sookwang was too late when he decided to stop her from leaving.

Before Seulbi went to Keumhwa Hotel, she also met Jeong Hyeontae who finally confessed that he is her Father. Seulbi was shocked and couldn't believe him right away.

Seulbi arrived at Keumhwa Hotel where Minjoon was waiting.

This time, things are different as Chairman Seon doesn't want to keep Seulbi anymore. He doesn't want his son to suffer the side effects of using Seulbi's abilities eg. having nightmares and delusions. But Minjoon was firm and he said that he doesn't plan on utilizing Seulbi's special powers for his own gain.

Seulbi went on to greet her Mom but her excitement faded when she found out that her Mother couldn't recognize her anymore.

A day later, Seulbi's Mother finally came back to her senses when she heard Chairman Seon trying to force her daughter out.

Minjoon kept his promise to Seulbi that's why she and her Mother are in a much better situation now.

But that didn't stop Seulbi from missing Sookwang and their fond memories together.

Meanwhile, Minjoon has already developed feelings for Seulbi. It looks like Seulbi hasn't noticed it yet but her Mom knows something is different.

Episode 8 then ended with a mysterious woman appearing in front of Sookwang. She asked, "Where is the clairvoyant oracle?"
